Hello,
I am traveling from the US to Paris in late May and a friend recently mentioned that she had some problems with her laptop and phone chargers in France last year. She said that she used a converter (maybe improperly?) but that she destroyed her laptop charger and a phone charger. She ended up buying european chargers while she was there. I will be traveling with a laptop and several iphones (there are six of us) and would like to avoid similar problems.

Is this a common problem? What can I do to minimize my chances of this happening?

Please help.
Thanks!

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
